1. THE SURVEY

This is to find the location of the damaged tarmac area to be cut with diamond tarmac blade for repair. We check for underground services and use water for dust repression. All works are to be marked with the correct barriers and cones for the safety of pedestrians and vehicle movements.

 

2. COLAS

Colas is a compound we use to seal tarmac joints to prevent water penetration before and after laying the tarmac. It is to be used with gloves and safety goggles.

 

3. BASE TARMAC

The base tarmac will be at least 45mm thick after compaction. This will be levelled and then rolled with a roller compactor inside the edge restraints. The roller compaction is passed over the area several times to make it is thoroughly compacted on large areas a paving machine will be used.

 

4. WEARING COURSE

The topping course tarmac will be at least 20mm thick after compaction. This will be levelled then rolled with a roller compactor along the edge restraints. 5. COOLING

We allow the tarmac to cool before use for safety of pedestrians and vehicle movements and to prevent tyre marks on the finished product.

 

6. FINAL TOUCHES

All excess building materials will be cleared and any extra work quoted can be finished with agreement form you the customer of satisfaction. All signs and barriers are to be removed or In some cases left for safety of on going works.
